Greetings!

From Edisto Island United Methodist Church!

Welcome to Edisto Island United Methodist Church (EIUMC), a vibrant beacon of faith among Edisto Island Churches.

Nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Edisto Island, our congregation offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. Our church boasts a storied past, originating from the dreams of Ernest Godwin and his wife, Veda, who envisioned a dedicated Methodist Church on the island. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of Reverend JR Jones and many devoted community members, this dream was transformed into reality...

Repairing Homes. Rebuilding Hope.

From July 5–12, 80 youth and adults will repair seven homes for families in need right here on Edisto.

It’s more than a service project—it’s life-changing work that brings safety, dignity, and love to our neighbors. You can help by donating meals, supplies, or funds to support this powerful community mission.

Led by the Whitesell family—members of EIUMC—this effort reflects the heart of our church in action. Every donation, whether financial or in-kind, directly supports this 501(c)(3) mission to make Edisto Island stronger, one home at a time.

In Galatians 6:11–16, Paul reminds us: image means nothing—transformation means everything. This Sunday at Edisto Island UMC, fellow church member, Coach Kevin Steele brings that message home. From NFL sidelines to national FCA stages, he’s seen what pressure and performance can’t fix.
